HOW AN EXTENDED RV WARRANTY WORKS

An RV extended warranty protects your recreational vehicle against the repair cost of everyday breakdowns and malfunctions. Because RVs have the components of both a house and a vehicle, they regularly need maintenance and repairs. A warranty helps you budget for those inevitable repair expenses.

Using your warranty is easy. When you experience a failure of one of the covered systems, you can apply your warranty coverage with any licensed repair center or mobile mechanic in the United States or Canada.

SOUTH DAKOTA RV WARRANTY COVERAGE OPTIONS

ARW covers class A, B, & C motorhomes as well as towable RVs like travel trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, and toy haulers. With six different plans to choose from and plenty of optional coverages, it’s easy to find a warranty that fits your needs.

TOTAL COVERAGE

The most comprehensive listed-component policy ARW has, this plan covers all the essential coach and automotive components.

PLUS COVERAGE

This plan adds coverage for common coach items and some amenities to the auto-based coverage of the Basic Plan.

BASIC COVERAGE

Our Basic Plan covers the automotive components of your RV. This is perfect for the RV owner who isn’t as worried about issues in their coach.

COACH-ONLY COVERAGE

Just like it says: this plan covers components to the living quarters of your RV. All other plans from ARW also cover the automotive components.

COMPLETE COVERAGE

This is the highest level of protection ARW offers. The Complete plan is an exclusionary policy.

ADD-ON COVERAGE

America's RV Warranty also offers tire and wheel coverage, power surge coverage, an excellent roadside assistance package, and more.

MOBILE MECHANICS? WE COVER THOSE, TOO.

With more RVs on the road than ever, repair shops are overloaded. That’s why ARW let you use a mobile mechanic for ANY covered repair. This saves time and avoids the hassle of travel or towing.

Other companies require that your RV be immobile–plus they only cover a portion of the service fee. ARW covers up to $500 of the service fee per issue. If you need repairs but don’t want to wait weeks or months, ARW will get you back on the road.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARW covers most types of recreational vehicles, including towable RVs and motorhomes. That includes Class A motorhomes, Class B motorhomes, and Class C motorhomes. We cover both gasoline engines and diesel engine models.

When it comes to trailers, ARW offers warranty coverage for travel trailers, 5th wheel trailers, and toy haulers. Insurance coverage is available for even more trailer types. ARW does not cover truck campers or pop-up campers.

Many factors affect the cost of an RV warranty, including the RV details (make, model, age, mileage) and the warranty plan details (coverage tier, deductible amount, plan length, payment structure, etc). Learn more on our blog post about RV warranty price.

Recreational vehicle insurance (RV insurance) is different from an RV warranty. Insurance covers you financially against the risk of accidents and damage from fire, floods, weather, and vandalism. For example, collision insurance covers damage to the chassis, axle, wheel, paint, etc. Water damage may or may not be covered by RV insurance, depending on the details of the insurance policy and the damage (check the fine print).

Extended warranties, on the other hand, cover the expense of repair when items break down mechanically through everyday use and wear and tear. For instance, insurance will not cover a gasket or transmission failure, but extended warranties will. In another example, insurance will cover the replacement of your refrigerator if it is damaged in accident, but a warranty covers replacement of your fridge's compressor when it fails and the fridge stops working.

Both insurance plans and warranty companies feature a deductible, which is a portion of the repair fee which is not covered by the policy and must be paid by the RVer to the repair center or mechanic.

A warranty and roadside assistance are different. While they are both technically service contracts, roadside assistance focuses on emergency services like towing, spare tire installation, lp gas delivery, and concierge services.

America's RV Warranty is proud to offer our customers discounted rates on Coach-Net roadside assistance. Coach-Net without a doubt offers one of the best roadside assistance packages in the United States.
